{Psalm 15}

Tonight I was reading Psalm 15 and was greatly encouraged on how a believer lives righteously for the Lord:

O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent?

Who shall dwell on your holy hill?

He who walks blamelessly and does what is right

and speaks truth in his heart;

who does not slander with his tongue

and does no evil to his neighbor,

nor takes up a reproach against his friend;

in whose eyes a vile person is despised,

but who honors those who fear the Lord;

who swears to his own hurt and does not change;

 who does not put out his money at interest

and does not take a bribe against the innocent.

He who does these things shall never be moved.

{Psalm 15}

On reading John MacArthur’s notes he states that Psalm 15 is possibly the most ultimate question-and-answer sessions out of all the Psalms. You see throughout the Psalm it’s a sequence of responses to the question of acceptable worship.

A Little Outline by John MacArhtur:

l. A two part question (vs.1)

1. He does not tread over people with his tongue.
2. He does not harm his fellow man.
3. He does not dump reproach upon family or friend.
C. Three positively phrased characteristics (vs. 4a-c)
1. He views the reprobate as rejected.
2. He respects the people of God.
3. He holds himself accountable.
D. Three negatively cast ethical characteristics (vs. 4d-5b)
1. He is not fickle.
2. He is not greedy.
3. He can not be bought.
lll. A one part guarantee (vs.5c)

I just wanted to share what my devotion was about tonight and hopefully encourage others to be living strongly for our God and Savior. “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” {Philippians 3:14}

Sweet Baby Jane.

So it’s been a while.. I know. So much has been going on and each day the Lord’s grace and love is displayed more and more and never ceases to end on a day by day, moment by moment basis.

On December 8th, 2012 my beautiful baby niece Scarlette-Jane Elizabeth Hoffman was born to the proud parents of Zach and Sasha Hoffman! What a blessing. She was premature, but was fine and healthy. Thank the Lord! It has been such a joy to watch my nephew Donnie grow up to be a fun and adventurous little boy. You could say my cup is full…

Wedding, wedding, wedding. Obviously, a great deal of planning has been taking place and also God showing both Serj and I that His timing and plan are completely perfect and that we must wait on Him patiently and that he will bless us. What a sweet time it has been of absolute excitement knowing that I am going to marry the love of my life, the man that God has intricately fashioned for me in His vast eternal plan.. Crazy. Anticipation is building and things are coming together piece by piece and I am just so eager!!

Life in Autumn.

Wow I have not posted on my blog for a while! So much has happened these past months. A lot of wonderful things! Got engaged, planning a wedding, visited California, my fiancee moved out to Tennessee, and the Lord keeps continually blessing me with so many things. Also in these past months I have been growing greatly in my walk with the Lord. A passage that’s been stuck in my head is Psalm 119:1-8 “blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong, but walk in His ways! You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently. Oh that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes! Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments!. I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous rules. I will keep your statutes; do not utterly forsake me!” What great truth.
As you know, I live in Tennessee, and in Tennessee it’s absolutely beautiful in the fall! So I wanted to share some pictures of our back road highway in the fall. Please enjoy!
